Ben Rennie
Rennie Creative Lab
Sydney
Ben Rennie is a writer, designer, and creative director with a studio across Sydney and Los Angeles. For more than fifteen years he has built a practice across brand, writing, and design, working with clients like Nike, the NBA's Utah Jazz, Patagonia, and Chanel, and helping people make braver work that understands why it matters.
He is the author of Lessons in Creativity, a runner-up for Australian Business Book of the Year, which sets aside theory in favour of how creativity actually behaves inside real organisations. The belief underneath all of it is simple: creativity is a discipline you practise, not a gift you wait for.
He chairs Design Declares Australia and works closely with First Nations communities, carrying a seven-generation view into how he writes, designs, and advises. More than 40% of the studio's work is given to impact. Nature, he argues, deserves a seat at the table, and most of what he makes is an attempt to give it one.
