Nicola Rennie is a brand strategist, sustainability advisor, and design researcher with more than twenty years of experience across Australia, the UK, Italy, and the USA. She has led brand and growth work for names like Stone Island, C.P. Company, Boxfresh, and Nike White Label, and advises businesses through B Corp and not-for-profit work.

She has also built her own. She founded The Standard Sock Company, which makes ski socks from recycled materials, and launched two of Australia's first online subscription services for craft beer and wine, Vinology and Hops & Craft. Sustainability runs through all of it, built into how she works rather than added at the end.

Today she directs the Australian chapter of Design Declares and is completing a practice-based PhD at RMIT's School of Design, researching why the digital design industry resists climate action and what it would take to move it toward regenerative practice. A mother of three, she works on the problems she would rather her children not inherit.
