Zero Tolerance Policy

All attendees, speakers, performers, and staff at The Design Conference are required to comply with the following Code of Conduct, both at the conference, Side Events, Connect Events, or other related events. The Design Conference will work diligently to enforce this code and expects cooperation from everyone to ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

Harassment

The Design Conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. Harassment includes offensive, verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Enforcing

The Design Conference reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations, from warning the offender to immediately expelling them from the events without refund.

Reporting

If you are being harassed, if you notice that someone else is being harassed, or if there is any other violations of this code, please don’t hesitate to talk to our The Design Conference team members immediately. All members of our team can be identified by their “team” t-shirts. Your are part of our family, so please feel welcomed to talk to us, but if you can’t or don’t wish to speak in person, please email hello at thedesignconference.com.au. Any reports will be handled in the strictest confidence.
